Landing Gear Down
A female Northern Cardinal extends full flaps and her landing gear as she comes in for a touchdown. Several inches of snow last weekend made feeding and life difficult for wildlife on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Last year, we had the good fortune to have a cardinal nest positioned where we could watch them from inside our screen porch. It was wonderful and I’m hoping they may return there this year.
