Tundra swan use their large webbed feet to lift themselves from the water on their long takeoff runs. Once airborne, they fly with an unmistakable grace and beauty. These swan were on a fresh water pond near Milford yesterday.

My first comment didn’t seem to post…but I wanted to say great job on these images so far. I especially love seeing the snow photos of some of our usually UN-snowy areas! Keep up the wonderful work, Kevin and Jay, and I’ll happily follow along with the progress of this book, too!
